The embroidery designs offered through Wabei-mono Designs are reflections of the beauty I’ve encountered during my life in Japan and travels throughout Asia.

Wabei-mono is a Japanese word coined to express the interaction between my Japanese environment and my American background. Wa is the ancient name for Japan and Wa-mono is the Japanese word for traditional Japanese design. But since there will always be an American flavor to my interpretations, I’ve added bei-koku, which is the Japanese name for America. Wabei-mono is my word for Japanese design through American eyes.
